United Kingdom
ATR United Kingdom has over the last three months notably increased the number of reporting homes for the BARB Panel. Due to this increase of some 600 reporting homes, RSMB was asked by the BARB Contract Evaluation Commission to assess the progress of the panel in terms of balance and data quality.
The report highlighted that the panel balance had improved steadily throughout the year, and “the balance when measured against the primary control matrix was indeed better than the old panel.”
This is in accordance to the results published today by The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising in the UK of the Q3 2002 TV Trends Report, which shows that the overall recorded viewing levels are much in line with the previous year despite the switch to the new BARB panel.
